Design Technology
Our DT curriculum in Year 7 aims to inspire, engage and challenge students, while providing them with foundational knowledge in the principles of design technology.
The intent in Year 8 is to inspire, engage and challenge students, while developing the key skills, knowledge and techniques.
In Year 9, the intent is to develop students who are competent with exploring different media, techniques and tools and to make the necessary progress towards Key Stage 4.
The Year 10 curriculum allows for key skills, knowledge and techniques to be revisited over the year in a variety of ways, to build upon what has been learnt and to ensure this is embedded as far as possible for all learners. Adapted learning strategies and tailored resources promote progress.
The Year 11 curriculum allows for key skills, knowledge and techniques to be revisited over the year in a variety of ways, to build upon what has been learnt and to ensure this is embedded as far as possible for all learners.
