GCSE SUCCESS AT HARRIS LOWE ACADEMY WILLESDEN

Harris Lowe Academy Willesden is celebrating its second year of GCSE results, with our 2025 Year 11 cohort building upon the remarkable achievements of Year 13 and securing excellent results! Our students have excelled this year, with around 1 in 5 entries achieving a grade 7 or above.

As a new academy, outcomes continue to be above both 2023 outcomes and pre-pandemic achievement. The trend of improvements in the number of students achieving the core basics of GCSE English and Maths continues, with 40% now achieving grade 5 or better in both, and 57% achieving grade 4 or better in both.

Principal, Josh Deery, said:

"I am delighted for our second group of Year 11 students at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden. These results reflect their hard work throughout their education. These grades enable our students to take the next step in their education, and we look forward to many of our Year 11s joining our exceptional sixth form and continuing to flourish within our academy. I know our students are grateful for the care and support offered by every member of staff that has supported them in achieving these wonderful results, and I join our students in thanking their teachers today."

Harris Lowe Academy Willesden is celebrating its second year of results for sixth form leavers, with students excelling across A Level and vocational qualifications.

A Level students at the Academy have performed brilliantly, with 52% attaining A*-B grades and 76% of all grades awarded at A*- C.  Likewise, vocational students have achieved extraordinary outcomes, achieving a Distinction on average in Applied General subjects.

Josh Deery, Principal of the Academy, said:

“I was incredibly proud last year to see what our first cohort achieved, and it is a testament to our extraordinary Year 13 students that they have surpassed these exceptional results. These results are evidence of the exceptional efforts of our students and the talent of my wonderful colleagues at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden.

“Results day at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden is all about the individual stories of success, with so many of our students this year being the first in their families to attend university.  With a great set of results under their belts, our students are now ready to take the next steps towards achieving their very bright futures.”
